West Side – Polihale Beach – SPECIAL USE PERMIT REQUIRED – OBTAINED BY COUPLE 45 DAYS IN ADVANCE.  Accessed by a long bumpy dirt road, about as far west as you can drive, Polihale Beach is an uncommon place for weddings.  Popular for watching the sunset and has a campground (with camping permit) and picnic area.   Always good for sunset, even when the sun sets behind Niihau some months of the year.
