North Shore – Kauapea (Secret) Beach

Secret Beach, aka Kauapea Beach, is on the north shore of Kauai. Accessed by a steep trail, taking 5-7 minutes to walk down, carefully, it’s a lovely location for adventurous couples seeking a beach wedding off the beaten track.

Finding it is a little bit tricky. From the first Kalihiwai Road, coming from the east side, turn right, makai, and follow the road around to the left. You’ll then see a dirt road, unofficially called “Secret Beach Road” though there are no signs. Turn onto this dirt road and follow it to the end, where you’ll see a parking area. The trail from the parking area down to the beach can be very slippery after a rain, so be careful!
